Christmas is going to be a strange one this year and a mystery for us in the hospitality industry to know what we can and cannot do.
We, at The Hostelrie, have come to the decision that we will only take bookings that reflect the current restrictions that are in place, therefore tables of no more than 6. If between now and December these restrictions are loosened or lifted entirely then we will be happy to take larger bookings.
With that in mind we have focused our menu on family groups wanting a get together over the Christmas period. A copy of our festive menu can be found here.
If you book before the end of October for a table of between 4 and 6 with at least 2 adults having 2 or 3 courses then we will give you 1 child’s meal for free. The options for children are a roast turkey dinner, roast beef, vegetarian pasta or battered fish and chips. You will need to pay a £5 per head deposit to confirm your booking.
Please email or messenger us to reserve your space. Because we are not open all week we cannot always get to the telephone but make every effort to answer all the messages that are left.
As the evenings draw in and the temperature starts to drop it’s the time of year when we welcome back our pies. This year we have decided to do Pie and a Pint every Thursday evening, so come and join us for a homemade pie, and a pint of beer or glass of wine for just £12.
We will serve pies as normal for the rest of the weekend whilst they are in stock. They do sell out fast so make sure you get in early or you’ll be disappointed.
We continue our Sunday Lunch Set Menu Offer. We serve Local Roast Beef and Roast Pork alongside Vegetarian and Vegan options as well as homemade starters and tempting desserts. Prices are £16.95 for 2 courses and 19.95 for 3 courses you can find a sample copy of our Sunday Menu here.
